Juanjo's techniques employ acrylic on cotton fabric as a base. Then, he uses natural pigments from Senegal to colour the paint which he applies, as well as undiluted for further shapes and irruptions in his designs.

He very often also includes other texturising materials such as plaster, dried plants, fabrics, rope, paper, cardboard and other recycled elements from every day life.

His paintings are vividly constrasted and powerfully coloured.
His themes are abstract and impulsive, with a strong social and contemporary influence.

The tools used are odd pieces of wood, feathers, combs, hands, feet, gravity, rain, sun, all sorts of tubes, pots and sponges and a energetic display of movements on top and around the canvas, lying on the floor.

His paintings have an immediate appeal, which has been proven in the last two years during which Juanjo has been professionally dedicated to selling his artwork.

Juanjo could be easily described as hyperactive and therefore his creation attains no colour, time or space limits.
